can I have my p.m.s deleted?

We should have the ability to delete our own Pms. I cant see why we would have to even ask for it.

We should also be able to edit our own posts at any time, the post should show when it was edited and who by and also a drop down box when doing the edit to select the reason for the edit including "removal of personal information". Most other forums i use allow all this.

Sure some would abuse that to alter their poor forum behaviours, but they would be in the minority.

reddit doesnt let you delete stuff inc PMs and is a huge turn off for me in using it.

not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.

still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

In my last few years "in" it dawned on me what paradise was really going to be like and i knew i wanted no part of it. I think it was the beginning of the end of me as a JW.

I hope they do cover the JWs, but i fear Aus may have stolen the thunder and they wont want to rehash it in the UK. The enquiries are linked somewhat so they will know the score anyway, but we'd like to see that they know the score again LOL.

one of the features of being wise (which means having/showing experience, knowledge, and good judgment) is about replacing wastages with something better.

If can hack the treadmill of reinstatement just to get your family back from the shunning madness then go for it. But do you know that they will not just shun you again when you fade later?

Not sure if this is your health concerns talking here or if you just havent done enough research to know it is a cult and complete bollocks and not something to invest time in believing in.

If you know it's a cult and just want your family back and can hack wasting a about 2 years of your life on reinstatement and fading out then why not.

Personally nothing could make me set foot inside a kingdom hall ever again.

What Convinced you to Leave?

i've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.

anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?

Crazyguy is going batshit crazy a Rant

yesterday some jw's came over to my house and were even being nice to me, most of the time if they do come by an elder or ms may say something but the others will not, its even hard for them to say just hello (how pathetic).

( they also do this behind my back as if i don't know).

i now realize by not being their i've handed my kids right over to them!.

Why are you allowing your kids to "study" with anyone at all? To keep the peace? Fuck that, you are handing your kids over to be indoctrinated right under your nose. I think you have seen the light now, but you have got to man up and stop it asap yes even if feelings get hurt, that is only temporary.

briefly, my family suffered my older/deceased brother's molestation when he was 13, in the congregation.

to this day, my mother still defends the elders that dealt with this situation.
